Sewing Circle Scarlett commemorates the night when Scarlett, Mellie and the other ladies sat around a table while they waited to hear the fate of their men out on the Decatur road. Scarlett, an 8” Wendy with green eyes, has dark brunette hair that has been parted in the center and pulled back into a low bun that is covered by a hairnet. Her gown features a burgundy skirt combined with a white cotton bodice. The peplum, collar and upper sleeves of the bodice are made from white pique and… periwinkle ribbon, formed into a bow at the neck and waist, also completely encircles her waist. A shawl of the same periwinkle blue adorns her shoulders. White cotton, trimmed with white lace, bloomers and petticoat, over the knee white stockings and black booties, that button on the side, completes Sewing Circle Scarlett’s outfit. Who, as she sits with the other ladies, attempts to embroider on her hoop using one of her two skeins of yarn but she’s too worried to do anything but fret.
Each new 2009 Gone with the Wind design comes with a special 70th Anniversary Hang Tag to commemorate this milestone event.
